This tree, which exudes drama and strength, was awarded Second Prize in the Young Talents category at the 50th Sakufu-ten, an exhibition reserved exclusively for professional bonsai artists.
It was created by Theo Zimmer, a German disciple of the acclaimed Japanese bonsai master Shinji Suzuki.
